hi dumitru...ill be starting ap/cp in new york in july... Id like to see a thread regarding virtually everything that is not related to the hospital... from opening a bank account, buying furniture or getting the right apt..or just money management or something like that..how does that sound?.....i think most img's ran into a wall face first when it comes to "start a living" outside the country they have lived forever.....

Spunds great ... feel free to talk about every aspect of our lifes.

I can tell you that I do a lot of stuff online, from opening a bank account and money management, paying bills automatically, buying tickets of any kind, or books or even the TV.

What I can't do is buying furniture and I kind of hate it going to the store too, my wife looks for staf then when she finds smthing we go togheter to buy it.

Dumitru, have you got your ssn when you got matched? If not can you share with us about applying for ssn. Thanks a lot smiling face

Hi,
I got my ssn before I mached, about 5 yrs ago. Don't remember exactly the details, I think we went to a local office, submitted an aplication then I got the card by mail. My kids also got the cards by mail, we completed their forms in the hospital.
